Would you look at that… I actually got to squeeze out code and layout in less than a week. Feels really good to be getting my hands dirty with some CSS and Wordpress coding.
If there’s one thing I can take away from this quick experience is that building and designing something “simple”, ends up being the most difficult thing. Having to express a whole idea through things as simple as choosing font faces and colours. Having all that opens up to all sort of ideas for graphical treatments and decals, avoiding those felt like swatting away flies.
Man, the times have changed. The last time I wrote something in a journal (aka blog) it was still bright and sunny at 7pm, trees still had leaves lending shade to my favorite spot in the patio and the biggest iMacs were still dual cored and 24-inched.
I know one thing’s for sure, I’m looking forward to start posting more photos and graphics and mess around with the inner workings of this blog.
Having said that, I’m going to crack open a cold can of diet coke.
It’s the first day back on the blog.
